Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho announced that Christian Eriksen will participate in the team's squad against Middlesbrough tomorrow, Tuesday, in a repeat of the two teams' match in the third round of the Football Association Cup, after it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Eriksen had informed the Tottenham Administration that he did not wish to renew the contract, and it was reported that he was close to moving to Inter Milan.
Mourinho said he understands why Eriksen has not appeared at his best level this season, but confirmed that he will participate in tomorrow's match against Middlesbrough.
"It is only natural for a player, in this situation, not to appear at his best level," Mourinho told reporters today.
"But he is helping us in the games he is participating in. He has made positive offers and roles in matches like ours against Olympiacos and Norwich City," he added.
"He will participate tomorrow. Then we will have a match on Saturday, and he may participate in it too. I cannot say more than that," Mourinho added.
