Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has expressed his sadness over what Ernesto Valverde, Barcelona's coach, is saying is not worth what is happening now.
Guardiola said today, Sunday, after a 6-1 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League: "Coaches are always judged by the results, whatever the team's performance or what the coach has accomplished before."
He continued: "Barcelona is a very special place, since winning the league is not enough, I am very sorry for what Ernesto Valverde is suffering at the moment."
He added: "He (Valverde) does not deserve this, I hope that the matter will be resolved soon, and this as a member of the club, and that's all."
Barcelona is heading to dispense with Ernesto Valverde, but is currently searching for the appropriate alternative after Xavi Hernandez refused to take over the team's training at this time.
