The European Union of Football Association (UEFA) Announced Today

The European Union of Football Association (UEFA) announced today, Thursday, the figures related to the revenues of the UEFA Champions League during the 2018/2019 season, and the mechanism of its distribution to the clubs that participated in the tournament.

UEFA stated that more than 1,976 billion euros were distributed from UEFA to the clubs that participated in the Champions League last season from the beginning to the European Super Cup match, compared to 1.412 billion euros in the 2017/2018 season.

UEFA indicated that this increase reflects the impact of the distribution mechanisms applied in the new trade cycle of the Champions League between 2018 and 2021.

Uefa explained that the minimum revenue per team for playing in the group stage matches amounted to 14.5 million euros (compared to 12.7 million euros in the previous season), while additional rewards were distributed in the group stage, amounting to 2.7 million euros for victory and 900,000 euros for a draw.

The reward for qualifying for the last sixteen was 9.5 million euros (compared to six million euros in the previous season), qualifying for the quarter-finals was 10.5 million euros (compared to 6.5 million euros the previous season), and qualification for the semifinals was 12 million euros (compared to 7.5 million euros last season).

As for Liverpool, which crowned the title, it won 19 million euros by winning in the final (compared to 15.5 obtained by Real Madrid in the previous version), and Tottenham and summer runners-up received 15 million euros (against 11 million euros) obtained by Liverpool in the previous version.
